What is Wire Oriented Silicone?
Wire Oriented Silicone is a silicone solid or sponge elastomer constructed of individual wires imbedded within the silicone. The EMI shielding is created by the wire, and the environmental and pressure seal is created by the elastomer. The wires are oriented perpendicular to the mating surface.
